  • About this role:

    Wells Fargo is seeking a Commercial Private Insurance Policy Review Specialist within Wholesale Lending Flood Operations.

    This role will provide subject matter expertise to external regulators, i.e. OCC, as needed and may interact with front line partners and insurance agents and flood vendors.  This role ensures a full and comprehensive regulatory quality review and provides final authorization that private insurance policies meet all related regulatory requirements and processes for the highest risk and complex portfolios within Wholesale Flood Operations.


    In this role, you will:

    • Manage risk by performing review and analysis of highly complex private insurance policies for the express purpose of determining acceptability and compliance with applicable regulations for Commercial Flood requirements
    • Collaborate and/or lead meetings with employees across various verticals in offering guidance and providing expertise on the feasibility of regulatory risk insurance matters
    • Complete pre-close and post-close documents for the most complex commercial real estate loans
    • Coordinate loan closings, perform customer, loan and regulatory diligence and on-going portfolio maintenance
    • Evaluate and upload data into the systems of record
    • Research complex business and operational decisions
    • Review and prepare loan related documents
    • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
    • Provide guidance and training to peers and may have limited supervisory responsibilities
    • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
    • Interact with internal and external customers
    • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

    Required Qualifications:

    • 5 years of Commercial Loan Closing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


    Desired Qualifications:

    • 3 years of Corporate Insurable Risk Management, Risk Management Consulting, Property or Casualty Insurance, and/or Insurance Brokerage experience
