    NOW HIRING: Overdose Fatality Review Team Coordinator

     

    Under supervision from the Prevention and Education Supervisor, the OFR Team Lead will work in support of Franklin County’s efforts to effectively identify system gaps and innovative community-specific overdose prevention and intervention strategies. The OFR Team Lead will assist in leading the Franklin County Drug Overdose Fatality Review (OFR) Committee to decrease the incidence of preventable overdose deaths.

     

    Duties Include:

    • Utilizes effective and efficient administrative skills to coordinate County-wide Overdose Fatality Review efforts.
    • Coordinates efforts of the OFR Committee to establish a system for collecting and maintaining information necessary for the review of drug overdose or opioid-involved deaths in the county.
    • Maintains records and collection of data essential to the OFR process. Creates standardization of information collected for each case used to determine trends and make recommendations for prevention of future deaths.
    • Conducts community education to bring awareness of the OFR process, reduce stigma, and works with the community to implement OFR recommendations.
    • Promotes program sustainability by assisting in identifying new sources of funding.
    • Leads the process for preparing and submission of an annual OFR report to the Ohio Department of Health (ODH).
    • Coordinates efforts in working with the Franklin County Forensic Science Center and its Investigation Team.
    • Collaborates with community partners to identify actionable steps to decrease overdose deaths in Franklin County.
    • Assists and coordinates with writing, editing, and collecting documentation to assure full compliance the OFR Committee charter.
    • Identifies training needs for programs, monitor program performances and reports metric.
    • Assists in identifying local resources that could be mobilized to improve the OFR process, promote linkage to care, harm reduction and prevention activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
    • Please note: This position is not a role with direct supervisory responsibilities.


    Requirements:

    • A master’s degree with a focus in public health, behavioral health or addiction services or social work preferred.
    • One to two (1 – 2) year(s) of experience in leadership, project management, or relevant fields.
    • Two to three (2-3) years of direct care experience working in public health, behavioral health substance use, addiction service or social work field required is strongly preferred.
    • Experience in grants management, federal grants management experience preferred.
    • Licensed as current LISW, MSW or LSW preferred.
    • Valid Ohio driver’s license and ability to meet insurability requirements.
    • Some evening and weekend hours required.


    Hiring Wage Range: $27.96/hour - $32.15/hour. This is a non-exempt position.
