Branch Service Manager oversees daily branch activities. Monitors branch service quality and coaches staff to achieve appropriate levels. Being a Branch Service Manager manages and schedules tellers and customer service staff. Schedules Customer Service Clerks/Reps to ensure adequate coverage. Additionally, Branch Service Manager implements and reviews bank policies and procedures, prepares branch for audits, and keeps branch in compliance with all bank policies and procedures. Handles more complex customer complaints and questions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to the Branch Manager. The Branch Service Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. The ideal candidate is people-oriented with a proven record of leadership in a position with profit and loss responsibility.

    Responsibilities

    • Supervising Others/Coaching/Motivating
      • Develop strong, positive relationships with direct reports
      • Spend regular one on one time with direct reports
      • Provide regular feedback 
    • Conflict Resolution/Problem Solving/Negotiation
      • Create workable solutions to customer and employee problems 
      • Negotiate terms with vendors and customers that are favorable to the company and fair
    • Communication
      • Communicate company mission, and values internally and externally
      • Share operational and financial performance information to the team on a regular basis
    • Team Building
      • Hire, train, and encourage a team of high performing middle managers 
      • Develop members of the team to improve bench strength
    • Delegation
      • Provide opportunities for direct reports to take responsibilities
      • Accomplish more through others

    Qualifications

    • Positive, enthusiastic, energetic, and able to work well with others.
    • Demonstrated skill and ability to manage and develop numerous employees at various levels.
    • Excellent negotiation and written/oral communication skills in English. 
    • At least 5 years of experience at a leadership level, with profit and loss responsibility in a commercial service industry. (Landscape industry a plus) 
    • Knowledge of Microsoft products and other business enterprise software, with extra emphasis on spreadsheet capability.
    • Ability to run efficient and effective meetings over the phone or in person.
    • Bachelor’s degree in landscape or business-related area preferred, but not required.
    • Occasional travel (5%) to the company headquarters in Laytonville, MD.

    Calificaciones

    • Excelentes habilidades de negociación y comunicación escrita/oral en inglés.
    • Al menos 5 años de experiencia a nivel de liderazgo, con responsabilidad de pérdidas y ganancias en una industria de servicios comerciales. (Industria del paisaje una ventaja)
    • Conocimiento de los productos de Microsoft y otro software empresarial, con especial énfasis en la capacidad de las hojas de cálculo. 
    • Habilidad para llevar a cabo reuniones eficientes y efectivas por teléfono o en persona.
    • Licenciatura en paisajismo o en un área relacionada con los negocios, pero no es requisito.
    • Viajes ocasionales (5%) a la sede de la empresa en Laytonville, MD
