Account Manager, Wholesale & Partnerships

  • The Account Manager, Wholesale & Partnerships is responsible for generating new and growing existing wholesale/partnership accounts at Boll & Branch. The Account Manager will be tasked with driving new and repeat business within the emerging channels of hospitality, physical/digital/specialty retail, and corporate services. The Account Manager will holistically own multiple projects/accounts from initial contact to launch and beyond. The Account manager will provide detailed attention and oversight in the areas of Planning, Merchandising, Operations, Finance & Marketing ensuring fulfillment of organizational goals while driving this emerging business channel.

    Responsibilities:

    • Vet inbound partners and create proactive recommendations on brand-right partners to pursue (in partnership w/ Brand Marketing)
    • Partner with the Finance, Operations, Merchandising/Planning, Tech, and Marketing teams to hash out the details of each partnership that meet company standards.
      • Lead Merchandising and Planning for partner (in collaboration with those internal teams)
        • Routinely audit partner’s assortment mix to curate merchandising strategy that delivers sales growth.
        • Lead development and execution of scalable assortment strategies for wholesale accounts and have responsibility for accurately reflecting product assortments by account in Company's system of record.
        • Analyze and report on KPIs related to account merchandising and planning efforts, including sales growth, sell-thru, weeks on hand, etc.
        • Forecast demand at SKU level for wholesale accounts and manage inventory levels to adhere to open-to-buy (OTB) plans, ensuring optimal product availability and inventory turns across the wholesale channel.
      • Act as a direct liaison to Operations, ensuring all fulfillment and logistical elements are smooth and aligned with our procedures.
        • Distribute and manage vendor unit/dollars forecasts with internal cross functional partners.
        • Coordinate order details between vendors and internal teams.
        • Maintain system information (i.e. vendor systems such as CHUB or Mirakl and internal systems such as NetSuite or Lingo).
      • Act as a direct liaison to Customer Service, ensuring the highest quality of support for third party customers.
      • Act as a direct liaison to Finance, ensuring accurate reconciliation pursuant to business terms. Manage internal forecast/budget.
      • Collaborate with Marketing on ad hoc requests related to paid or added value opportunities.
    • Project manage account setup from initial contact to launch; Sustained general account management.
    • Leverage relationships to gain referrals for new business.
    • Review contracts in conjunction with legal and summarize key terms for ease of internal tracking.
    • Maintain standards of pricing expectations.
    • Regularly spend time in the field (phone, email, in-person) building/maintaining client relationships.
    • Monitor competitor activities and market trends.
    • Project lead any executional elements related to new location installs, site refreshes, or general physical shop maintenance/upkeep.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5 years of Sales/Account Management/Wholesale experience.
    • Confident, self-motivated individual who is relentlessly customer & brand focused.
    • Savvy at building relationships, deal negotiation, and sense of urgency.

    This position will have the opportunity to work predominantly from either our Summit, NJ HQ or NYC office (but will need to be at HQ for key team and cross-functional in-person meetings). We believe our business and our culture are strongest when we work together in person. We also know that it’s helpful to have flexibility to work remotely. Currently we are operating under a hybrid model whereby all teams work in an office a minimum of two days per week (Tuesdays/Thursdays) and may be provided flexibility to work from home on other days. There may be times when you’re asked to work in our Summit, NJ headquarters because it’s in the best interest of our business or your team.

    The base salary range for this role is $75,000 to $130,000. It is important to note that our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and the market and are one part of the total rewards that we provide. Individual pay rate decisions are based on several factors, including qualifications for the role, experience level, skillset, scope of the role, and internal peer benchmarking.
