Being a Breast Center Manager may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a director. The Breast Center Manager supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Summary:
The Breast Center Navigator - Clinical serves as the coordinator for the care of patient in their specific specialties. The Navigator is responsible to provide support, education, referrals, coordination of care, and other assistance to the patient and their family prior, during, and following their healthcare experience. The position is responsible for facilitating integrated care through communication with strategic members of the interdisciplinary team, collaborate to provide staff education and works closely with patients, families and members of the health care team to optimize patient satisfaction and achieve optimal outcomes. The Navigator will coordinate efforts between physicians, healthcare administration, family, community resources and staff while tracking the progress of the patient throughout their continuum of care. Required Certification BHCB must be kept current. Required Education: Technical specializing in Mammography or Ultrasound. Required licensure includes RDMS (sonography) OR Radiology and ARRT (Radiologic Technologist) specialization Mammography. Required Certification in Breast Health Clinical Navigator (BHCN). Required Experience includes 1 year in Mammography or Ultrasound.
