Technician Medical Surgical (MA) - Queens Medical Group - Surgery Breast Center Flushing - Full Time - Days

Certified Medical Assistant performs a variety of clinical and clerical functions, in accordance with established policies and procedures, to assist the practitioners and management in daily office operations. Job duties include but not limited to preparing patient for examinations by our multiple physicians.

• Greeting and escorting patients to clinical area and preform proper intake, which include vitals, medications and history review, allergies, and all other related items associated with intake. 
• Provides post-examination testing and assist physician with requests for further testing such as ekg's, blood draws and set up for injections. 
• Proper documentation and specimen handling is needed daily. Chart prep must be done 1 week out which includes receiving previous testing and consult notes. 
• Insure proper stocking and supplies. 

This is a full time M-F 8am-6pm varying schedule, overtime as needed located in Flushing Queen. Schedule may change based on operational needs. May need to cover at other Queens Medical Group Locations as needed.

Preferred Criteria

• Medical Assistant experience with a Surgical Practice.
• Knowledge of Oncology
• Knowledgeable with Medical terminology and EMR. 

Required Criteria

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program. 
• Certification as a Medical Assistant.
