Job Description
IMMEDIATE OPENING! We're looking for a lover of news who wants to lead our team and do news the right way.
Not fake news. Not press releases. Digging and reporting. Telling the stories that affect people's lives. Schools. Roads. Growth. That thrill of the story.
Breaking in to regular programming. Alerts online. EXCITEMENT!
It is radio but on-air does NOT have to be part of the job. Writing and reporting MUST be part of the job.
And you can live in one of the most beautiful places in all of Tennessee -- one hour from a Titans game, a big name concert or art in Nashville OR one hour from Big Orange football or a big country show in concert.

Responsibilities
- Pitch story ideas and write news reports for publication
- Conduct interviews and research to gather information for stories
- Work with editors to revise and edit pieces as needed
- Adapt to breaking news and pivot quickly under tight deadlines
- Maintain journalistic ethics and standards across all work
Qualifications
- A degree in Journalism, Communications or a related field
- At least three years of reporting experience in a professional newsroom
- Skilled in fact-checking and research
- Adept at interviewing and sourcing
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
