The Position
Budget Analysts prepare and implement budgets including the development of expenditure projections, narrative justification of programs, and detailed biennial spending plans; review and analyze budget requests and adjustments; and ensure compliance with budgetary directives, policies, regulations and limitations.
This opening is for a Budget Analyst 3 within the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy (DHCFP) Fiscal Services Supplemental Reimbursement unit, in Carson City NV. Budget Analysts prepare and implement budgets including the development of expenditure projections, narrative justification of programs, and detailed biennial spending plans and expenditure projection; review and analyze budget requests and adjustments; and ensure compliance with budgetary directives, policies, regulations, and limitations. This position is located within the Fiscal Services Unit, under the Supplemental Reimbursement Unit in Carson City, Nevada. This position is responsible for assisting the Management Analyst IV with preparing and administering the divisions supplemental payment programs in accordance with Federal guidelines and will be responsible for budget analysis and assisting in the preparation of the Division's complex budget reconciliations and tracking workbooks.

To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in business or public administration, accounting, finance, economics, or closely related field and four years of professional budgeting, accounting, economic or management analysis and projection, staff analyst or auditing experience, one year of which was equivalent to a Budget Analyst II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
A State of Nevada/FBI background check will be required of the selected applicant.
