Budget Manager manages and coordinates budgeting activities and the implementation of the organization's budget policies and guidelines. Monitors actual performance against estimates and prepares annual and interim budgets. Being a Budget Manager coordinates budget appropriations and responds to exception requests for funds. Monitors and analyzes performance against budgets. Additionally, Budget Manager implements and supports tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Typically reports to a director. The Budget Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Budget Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • A post-secondary educational institution in Pendleton, OR is seeking an experienced Budget Analyst to join their team! They are looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in accounting/finance with a focus on construction and other school related budgets.     Pay Range: $50,000 - $55,000 DOE

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage budget processes and collaborate with department managers to optimize spending
    • Prepare revenue/expenditure analyses and ad-hoc financial reports
    • Oversee college contracts with vendors and external organizations
    • Monitor general operations budget expenditures
    • Coordinate asset management and disposition of excess property
    • Serve as a liaison between CFO, department managers, and external parties
    • Perform special studies, analyses, and assist with project work as needed

    Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
    • Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and macros
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
    • Availability for extra hours during peak times
    • Familiarity with computer systems and software applications is preferred
    • Experience in construction, procurement, contract, and budget management is preferred
