Budget Manager manages and coordinates budgeting activities and the implementation of the organization's budget policies and guidelines. Monitors actual performance against estimates and prepares annual and interim budgets. Being a Budget Manager coordinates budget appropriations and responds to exception requests for funds. Monitors and analyzes performance against budgets. Additionally, Budget Manager implements and supports tools and reporting used for planning, forecasting, monitoring, and decision support. Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting. Typically reports to a director. The Budget Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. The Budget Manager is a key member of the budgeting team within the financial operations team, and contributes to the budgeting, forecasting, long-term planning, implementation, and business strategic analysis for a portfolio of programs. In this role the Budget Manager will work with program team members to maintain and update forecasting models. The Budget Manager will also work with the Budget Leads and broader financial operations team to ensure timely analysis, reconciliation and reporting.
\nThe starting salary for the Budget Manager position is $75,000, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends, and has an end date of November 15, 2024.
