• Must have convention/conference hotel experience (700 room ).
• Must have Director or Asst. Director experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee management team of 10 managers.
• Reports to Director of Event Management.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Events to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all events hosted by our organization.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial goals are met
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure services within budget
- Plan and implement fundraising strategies for events
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and guests
- Coordinate restaurant and catering services for events
- Ensure hospitality standards are met throughout all events
- Lead event marketing efforts to drive attendance and engagement
- Manage all aspects of event logistics and operations with a keen eye for detail
- Demonstrate excellent time management skills to meet deadlines effectively

Experience:

- Proven experience in budgeting and financial management for events
- Strong contract negotiation skills with vendors and suppliers
- Demonstrated success in fundraising initiatives for events
- Exceptional customer service background in event planning or related field
- Knowledge of restaurant, catering, and hospitality industries
- Proficiency in event marketing strategies to promote successful events
- Previous experience in events management with a track record of successful executions
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
