Being a Buffing and Polishing Set-Up Operator has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines to perform machining operations
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications
- Use power tools, such as milling machines and lathes, to shape and cut materials
- Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and bore gauges
- Assemble components to create finished products
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment
Experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role
- Proficient in operating CNC machines and power tools
- Strong knowledge of machining techniques and programming
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for programming purposes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Experience with assembly work is preferred
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus
