    About the Role:

    The role of Inspector is primarily responsible for ensuring the MSFN’s network is constructed as designed, while following all applicable safety guidelines. The OSP Inspector will be the final authority on the completion of a project, and its ultimate release for service.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Enforcing safety practices and protocols to ensure a secure work environment.
    • Conducting quality control measures to verify that all work conducted aligns with engineering design specifications, and that Mainstream construction personnel and any construction vendors adhere to relevant standards and specifications.
    • Recording and documenting all activities using MSFN records, including requesting changes from work crews, scheduling re-inspections for follow-ups, and ensuring requested modifications comply with regulations.
    • Conducting final inspections of completed projects by the construction team to authorize their release to sales for service provision.
    • Additionally, each Telecom Fiber Inspector is responsible for establishing and maintaining professional relationships with engineers, consultants, subcontractors, stakeholders, and the general public.


    Key Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma, or equivalent education, required.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, urban planning, or a related field
    • 3 years proven experience as an OSP Inspector, Project Coordinator, or similar role, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
    • Valid Driver’s Licenses, required.
    • Must have experience with Aerial Fiber Construction, Underground Fiber Construction, via directional boring, trenching, and plowing.
    • Knowledge of engineering design and specifications of design packages. Must have the ability to read, understand, and interpret design packages and have knowledge of civil engineered prints.
    • Proficient at using computers and Microsoft Office products.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with construction crews, engineers, and customers.
    • Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing permits and approvals.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
    • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Leadership / compliance management experience is also a plus.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and evolving regulatory landscapes.
    • OSHA Certification and/or CDL License, preferred
