May be assigned to residential or commercial structures. Being a BUILDING INSPECTOR may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Town Board of the Town of Greenport is seeking a PART-TIME Building Inspector. Experience is preferred but will accept experience with willingness to attend required classes for certification which will be on-line Fall 2024 or if offered at CGCC.
The Town of Greenport is the commercial hub of Columbia County, New York and borders the City of Hudson. We are a fast growing community with both large and small scale ongoing and upcoming construction.
