    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide a well-informed and thorough survey of the client's property following established sampling procedures.
    • Perform surveys for environmental hazards such as, but not limited to, asbestos, lead, mold, radon, methamphetamine residue, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). This includes both visual inspections of the work area and proper sampling techniques.
    • Legibly and completely fill out a Chain-of-Custody (COC) form for each inspection (some jobs may require several depending on the types of inspections performed).
    • Prepare inspection reports based on the conditions observed at the job site with in-depth notes with the types of materials, their locations, their quantities, and any other required information.
    • Confidently answer clients' questions and concerns in a respectful and informed manner.
    • Perform inspections in a timely manner (including drive-time) to maintain scheduled appointments.

    Position Requirements

    • Inspections may be performed in various environments based on our clients' needs including, but not limited to: indoors, outdoors, hot and cold temperatures, and inclement weather.
    • While necessary precautions and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be in use, due to the nature of the industry, you will be in contact with various environmental hazards including, but not limited to: asbestos, lead, mold, radon, methamphetamine residue, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
    • Inspections may include climbing ladders to access attics and roofs.
    • Inspections may include entering confined spaces such as crawlspaces to perform the necessary work duties.
    • Must be able to carry approximately 50 pounds throughout a work day.
    • Must be able to work 40-50 hours per week.
    • Must be able to sit up to 60% of the work day (driving to job sites and office work).
    • Motivated, team-player attitude.

    Qualifications/Education

    • High School Diploma or G.E.D. (Required)
    • Cal/OSHA Site Surveillance Technician (CSST) Certification (Preferred, Not Required at Time of Employment)
    • CDPH Sampling Technician License (Preferred, Not Required at Time of Employment)
    • NRSB Radon Measurement Specialist or Technician Certification and/or NRPP Radon Measurement Professional (Preferred, Not Required at Time of Employment)
    • Must maintain a clean DMV driving record and provide upon request.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $24.00 - $37.00 per hour
