    INTERNAL BIDDER: must complete an internal application on the district website by 4/29/24 @ 4:00 pm
    EXTERNAL APPLICANTS (will hire externally if there are no internal bidders): applications will be accepted 4/22/24 until position is filled.
    Duties & Responsibilities: (Essential Functions of Position, Major Responsibilities, Summary of Key Duties, Special Assignments, Relationships
    • Rate of pay: new hire $20.86 per hour; $21.51 after probationary period has been met. Current employees covered by the bargaining unit contract please refer to salary schedule in Bargaining Contract.
    • Mows and trims fields and district facilities daily.
    • Picks up and delivers material using the freight truck.
    • Operation of heavy equipment such as tractors with gang mowers, snow plows, dump trucks, turf equipment and various other equipment used in the maintenance and operation of the District.
    • Apply pesticide throughout the District to fence lines, warning tracks, etc.
    • Performs various athletic field maintenance and prepares fields for games using zero turn mowers, field draggers and string trimmers.
    • Picks up and delivers vehicles, equipment and parts as needed.
    • Operates equipment used in material handling such as hand trucks, Fork trucks, carts, dollies etc.
    • Occasionally assists in mail deliveries.
    • Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an excellent driving record.
    • All other duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Operations.

    Physical Requirements of Position:
    • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
    • Must be able to lift 75 lbs. to waist
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs above head height

    Special Qualification Desired: (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)
    • Must obtain a Pesticide application license.
