A Facility Quality Control Technician is the backbone of the Forterra Quality Program. The Technician reports directly to the Regional Quality Control Manager but works closely with the Plant Manager and his/her Lead Production Personnel to ensure high quality production.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS
To improve quality while reducing repairs, scrap rate and quality complaints to effective zero and to assure compliance with various quality control certification programs and requirements.
- Perform all material and concrete testing, and sampling
- Perform all pre/post pour inspections
- Perform all pre/post product testing (i.e. compressive strength, etc.)
- Acquire basis certifications for entry level position (i.e. ACPA and/or NPCA, ACI Strength testing, etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Read and Write English
Knowledge of Basic Math – addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Good Communication Skills – verbal and written
Attention to Detail
Self-starting highly motivate independent individual
