Building and Grounds Supervisor supervises and trains building and grounds maintenance staff. Oversees landscaping activities, the maintenance of sidewalks and parking areas, and the removal of trash and snow. Being a Building and Grounds Supervisor maintains and monitors the operation of all utility systems such as heating, ventilating and air conditioning. May be responsible for the housekeeping staff. Additionally, Building and Grounds Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Mowing grass, trimming, pruning, edging, flower bed care, trash pick-up, restroom and bathhouse cleaning, lake maintenance, equipment care, office and facility cleaning, painting, playground maintenance, athletic field and court maintenance, construction projects assistance as required.
• Responsible for performing related functions as required.
• Must be willing to learn how to operate maintenance equipment. This includes mowers, tractors, trucks, and other park maintenance equipment.
• May be required to perform other Park duties as designated by CERA Management.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. May be required to work long hours during peak periods.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be 16 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license without restrictions.
• No required education. General maintenance/landscaping equipment knowledge preferred.
