Building and Grounds Supervisor jobs in Huntington, NY

Professional Building Maintenance is a rapidly growing, commercial janitorial and paper supply company. We service Nassau County, Suffolk County, and the Tri-State are with over 35 years of experience. We are immediately seeking a Field Supervisor. This role is critical in the company’s success.

Responsibilities are listed below:

· Maintaining each building cleanliness up to company standards

· Hiring and training all employees

· Responsible for employee orientation after hire

· Building and maintaining relationship with each client

· Ordering and maintain building supplies

· Daily/weekly reporting’s of building inspections

· Proactively identifying and resolving issues in field

· Performing all janitorial duties necessary in case of staff shortages and lack of coverage

· Conduct safety meetings with employees prior to each job and assures that proper safety procedures are followed at the job site.

· Processing weekly payroll

· Evaluates employee performance, conduct on-the-job training and coaching when necessary, and initiate disciplinary action of associates when appropriate.

· Promote a safe and disciplined environment with adherence

· Must have flexible schedule and be on call 24/7

· Must have a positive attitude and good work ethic

Requirements:

· Must be able to pass a background and license check (company vehicle will be provided)

· 5 years minimum janitorial management experience

· Proven experience as Janitorial Supervisor

· Bilingual (Spanish and English)

· Must have floor experience (stripping and waxing, buffing, etc.)

· Strong organizational, written and verbal skills are required

· Flexibility for evening/week-end hours on various sites.

· Verifiable work history with solid references.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
