Position Summary

CNI College is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as a Bursar. The Bursar will oversee student financial accounts, manage tuition billing and collection, and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial operations and maintaining positive relationships with students regarding tuition and fees.

Duties and Functions:

• §Manage student financial accounts, including tuition billing, fee assessment, and collection of payments.
• Maintain accurate records of student accounts and financial transactions.
• Provide guidance and assistance to students regarding payment options, deadlines, and financial aid.
• Collaborate with academic departments and administration to ensure accurate billing and fee assessment.
• Prepare and distribute student bills, statements, and payment reminders.
• Monitor and track overdue accounts, initiate collection procedures as needed, and communicate with students about outstanding balances
• Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations related to student financial matters.
• Generate financial reports and analysis related to student accounts as required.
• Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Track and send reminders to students to ensure that their accounts are up to date.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in student financial services, accounts receivable, or related area.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial management.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
• Proficient computer skills, including experience with accounting software and student information systems.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance related to student financial aid and billing practices.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive financial information with integrity.
