Ensures compliance with university, state, and federal regulations and standard accounting procedures. Additionally, Bursar requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a top executive officer. The Bursar typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Bursar typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Job Description:
Longwood University invites qualified applicants to apply for the position of Assistant Bursar, Auxiliary Services (FA087) in Cashiering and Student Accounts. The successful candidate will lead the auxiliary services (Lancer Card Center and Parking Administration) function of the Bursar's office as well as manage the student billing process, supervision of staff and will be responsible for other duties as assigned.
