Business Analytics Director manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Director consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Director builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Analytics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Analytics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. As a Business Analytics Consultant within PNC's Enterprise Fraud Reporting team, you will be based in Birmingham, AL, Pittsburgh, PA, Cleveland, OH or Dallas, TX. The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager’s discretion.

    As a Business Analytics Consultant, you will be part of a team who is responsible for telling the story to how our Enterprise Fraud Organization (EFO) strategies are working. In this role you will be responsible for navigation of data within our fraud department, drawing connections between implemented fraud countermeasure and their impact to bank’s fraud losses, customer experience, and the Line of Business’ growth. Additionally, you will work with systems such as Tableau, where you will build out dashboards to help in data delivery. You will also be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly fraud reporting.

    Due to the nature of the position, we are seeking candidates who have experience in process improvements or developing code efficiencies. Candidates should also have experience in reporting and presenting results. Past experience with Python, Tableau and SQL also preferred.

    Job Description

    • Leverages analytical tools to provide business and technical expertise for the analytics process, tools and applications for a business function or business unit to create data driven solutions.
    • Recommending appropriate performance measures to be produced including lifts, efficiencies, confidence intervals, and other statistical metrics.
    • Analyzing and processing data, building and maintaining models and report templates, and developing dynamic, data-driven solutions.
    • Providing business clients with detailed, actionable reports documenting the findings from, data processing, and data analysis.
    • Consulting on using business intelligence data for predictive analytics and facilitating implementation of new tools and data marts.

    Roles at this level typically require a university / college degree, with 2 years of relevant professional experience. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
