Business Analytics Director manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Director consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Director builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Analytics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Analytics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Collins Aerospace is seeking an experienced Manager, Business Data and Analytics. This role will be reporting to the Associate Director of Enterprise Operations, as Manager, Business Data and Analytics you will be responsible for scoping, developing, and implementing key reporting metrics to provide the business with accessible and accurate information to make key decisions. You will also work with various members at each of our four sites as well as our business partners to execute the overall strategy for Enterprise Operations Business Excellence team. This will be an individual contributor role.

    Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader. Eligible for relocation

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Fully develop and deliver automated dashboards and reports through our data warehouse (snowflake), ETL process (Alteryx), and visualization (Tableau)
    • Strong customer service focus on ensuring the business has the information they required for data-driven solutions to complex problems.
    • Various executive reporting (PowerPoint)
    • Develop PowerApps based on use cases.
    • Familiarize with the data to come up with issues & risks before the business sees them.
    • Develop VBA macros to automate shop floor SAP tasks.
    • Develop and maintain databases with non-ERP related data.
    • Self-starter and personal ownership over the business excellence control tower
    • Create standard work for all reports created and processes.
    • Advance the CORE maturity score for the group.
    • Utilize advanced statistical methods and data visualization techniques to derive actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Communicate and deliver business analytics improvement initiatives and processes to senior leadership.
    • Approximately 10% travel domestically
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience.

    • 1 years of experience with Alteryx
    • 1 years of experience with Tableau
    • 1 years of experience with SAP
    • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with Wheel & Brake business
    • Experience communicating effectively with technical and non-technical customers and team members.
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Knowledge of aerospace industry trends, technologies, and regulatory requirements.

    The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
