Position Summary:

The Director of Business Analytics will take their advanced understanding of analytics, data modeling, reporting, along with their deep subject matter expertise, and be able to apply it to various aspects of the business. This position will work cross-functionally with various teams to execute on analytics growth strategies and opportunities, bringing new datasets and metrics together to expand our current reporting and insights capabilities.  This position will also oversee and mentor analysts on the team, and in-turn will need to be able to translate team goals/strategy/vision into work delegation, prioritization, and overall execution.

Essential Functions:

• Use data to empirically support, challenge, or reshape our understanding of business strengths, opportunities, areas of improvements, and macroeconomic factors that could affect our business
• Oversee the growing group, building out the staffing plan for quickly growing department, organize and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analysts.
• Manage and collaborate with team members to continuously grow our in-house reporting and insights tool
• Collaborate with cross-functional groups including Product, Marketing, Talent Buying, Ticketing & more to identify key opportunities and execute on visions.
• Communicate research findings and provides advise to key stakeholders across the organization based on data analytics. This includes proactively researching opportunities from stakeholders and providing solutions that rapidly address defined business needs.
• Work in-step with Director of Data Science to prioritize data modeling requests and provide subject matter expertise to help guide model builds

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS Degree (4-year) in Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
• 6-8 years of related work experience
• Highly proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint
• Proficiency in SQL server reporting services, Tableau, analysis services, or any other data visualization tools
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form
• Strong business acumen and attention to detail with a consistent record of delivering results
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to influence and demonstrate confidence in communications with senior level management
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong project management skills proven track record of driving IT projects
• Expert knowledge of the live entertainment industry

Pay Scale: $152,282 - $216,076
