Business Analytics Manager manages and oversees business analytics projects and processes to provide data-driven insights related to business performance used to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements and future business initiatives. Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Manager consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Manager builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Business Analytics Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Typical work activities include the following:
Preparation of financial and statistical reports;
Maintains records of receipts and expenditures; bonded indebtedness and investments;
Preparation of tentative school budget, payrolls, purchase orders, accounts payable, worker's compensation, health insurance, and other business reports;
Periodic inspection of departmental activities verifying regulations are followed;
Maintenance of personnel files, benefits coordinator, and may act as clerk of the board of education;
Conducts correspondence on matters where general policy has been determined;
Acts as purchasing agent for school system;
Supervision of departmental managers;
Any additional duties as assigned by the Superintendent
