Utilizes KPIs, business performance data, industry trends, competitor intelligence, and customer information to develop analytical tools, reports, and models across the organization to inform and support decision-making. Being a Business Analytics Manager consults with stakeholders to understand the business model, objectives, issues, and challenges that analytics can support. Develops standards and collection processes to support robust analytics and reporting data pipelines. Additionally, Business Analytics Manager builds teams with statistical methods, modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis skills to support the business. Requires a bachelor's degree in finance, statistics or a quantitative field. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. There are two open Manager of Analytics positions with the same job responsibilities, each overseeing approximately 12 employees working in product teams (developers, senior developers, analysts, senior analysts). Ideal candidates will have experience with the entire data lifecycle, but applicants with extensive experience in some portion of the data industry will be considered, providing they have exposure to the entire lifecycle and meet other qualifications.
Within the Enterprise Analytics Department, this role is responsible for prioritizing data & analytics work with a team of analysts and report developers, balancing incoming requests with strategic and operational projects. The Manager of Analytics understands the complete data life cycle and has real-world experience supporting business outcomes using advanced data modeling, report development, data visualization, and analytical techniques. This role ensures data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and documenting optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow. They are skilled at communicating with stakeholders from across the healthcare system and can lead people as well as strategies, applying their exhaustive knowledge of data analytics to solve problems and find opportunities for continuous improvement.
