Business Application Delivery Director directs and leads an organization's business application delivery department. Formulates business application architecture plans, estimates costs, and ensures projects meet strategic needs. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Director establishes policies and procedures that ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations and support efficient operations. Leads and develops a team of business application delivery programmers with training in the best practices and technologies. Uses knowledge of the field to keep the department's software, techniques, and tools up to date. Manages resource planning and decision-making. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior/top management. The Business Application Delivery Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Application Delivery Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     Our Team

    The Associate Software Engineer will work as part of a team to complete basic end to end software engineering tasks. The engineer will perform basic analysis, development, testing, debugging, configuration, incident investigation, documentation, health monitoring/alerting, and implementing based on and related to user or system design specifications. Work within guidelines set by team to independently tackle well-scoped problems. Seek opportunities to expand technical knowledge and capabilities.

    This role is based in Berlin, CT.

    Essential Functions:

    • Influences others within the work area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

    • Works with direct supervision on projects / assignments. Sets objectives for own area of responsibility to meet the objectives or goals of projects and assignments.

    • Problems may span a range of issues or work areas and are typically solved through exercise of discretion and / or judgment, drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issue
    • Responsible for making minor changes or enhancements in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of work area.

    • Explains policies, practices, and procedures of the work area to others within the organization, influencing decision- makers with recommended courses of action.
    • Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

    • Effectively uses code version control systems such as git
    • Understands basic programming and OOP concepts
    • Understands core application development patterns
    • Experienced using data structures
    • Familiar with traditional data stores
    • Familiar with REST API syntax and tools for documenting and testing the REST APIs such as Swagger and Postman
    • Familiar with Agile methodology
    • Theoretical knowledge of work area
    • Ability to work autonomously with limited supervision

    • Understands direction provided and implements assigned tasks effectively

    • Troubleshoots simple engineering problems by checking logs, using developer tools and debugger effectively

    Education:

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 0 to 3 years of relevant experience
    • Requires theoretical to advanced knowledge of work area typically obtained through University Degree combined with experience.

    Working Conditions:

    • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
    • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.

    Compensation and Benefits:

    Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $77,570.00 to $86,190.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of our benefits.
