Business Application Delivery Manager manages a team of business application delivery programmers. Improves operational processes and supports critical business strategies by managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of applications systems. Being a Business Application Delivery Manager leads multiple projects and oversees programmers to ensure that established policies and procedures are followed correctly. Trains programmers on standard methodologies, tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables. Additionally, Business Application Delivery Manager establishes deadlines, develops goals, and tracks performance metrics for the department. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Application Delivery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Application Delivery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • Position Summary:

    This role's primary focus is to facilitate the EAC (eliminate, automate, centralize) Program for the Penske Logistics Organization across all Product Lines and Enabling Groups including Steering Team Update Meetings, Project Tracking, KPI Reporting and Rewards and Recognition. The role is also heavily focused on Project Managing enterprise and Product Line level EAC Projects and High Value Projects related to Business Process Automation and Centralization. The role also facilitates specific Lean Programs and training related to Finance and Safety such as the Lean Challenge Project Competition.

    The result is time savings given back to our Operations and Enabling Groups to increase work-life balance and make PL an employer of choice to increase retention at all levels. The time saved is also re-invested into Associate Development, Customer Service Value, Safety Focus and further Continuous Improvement efforts. Finally, the time savings will result in less corporate and management overhead cost growth over time in relation to revenue growth. These projects also directly impact pre-tax profit through cost savings and support customer retention and growth through demonstrating customer value and innovation.

    Responsibilities:

    • EAC Program Management - Steering Team Meeting Facilitation, Project Tracking and Governance, KPIs, Awards and Recognitions

    • EAC and High Value Projects - Enterprise Level Projects and Technology Projects.

    • High level Project Management and Solution Development.

    • Business Process Automation Projects - Process Mapping, ROI Assessments, Solution Proposal Presentations, Process Design / Business Requirement Documents, Implementation Project Management

    • Lean Programs and Training Deployed to Enabling Groups (Finance, Safety, HR, etc).

    • Other projects/tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree required in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, Technology, and/or Data Science.

    • Master’s Preferred in Engineering Technology, and/or Data Science.

    • Lean Certification (required within 2 years of role)

    • Lean Six Sigma Certification (preferred)

    • Project Management Professional (preferred)

    • Minimum of 5 years work experience as a Manager in Quality, Lean, Continuous Improvement, Project Management, technology, Engineering, Enabling Group or Operations.

    • Strong written / oral communication to all organizational levels.

    • Developing, mentoring and coaching others.

    • Developing technical solutions and the supporting documentation (Process Design Documents / Business Requirement Documents)

    • Can think big and is highly open and flexible to new ideas and information.

    • Strong Automation Technology Acumen

    • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

    • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
