    As a Business Development Officer, you will be responsible for the following:

    • Advising TFCU management of relevant needs, pertinent business opportunities, and material or adverse developments in the business partner population to ensure maximum effectiveness of their activities
    • Establishing, managing, and sustaining constructive and productive relationships with civic, charitable, community, and local/state organizations to facilitate an appropriate level of support and contribution by the credit union to the community
    • Identifying and implementing TFCU's strategic initiatives, with special emphasis on the business strategies that achieve growth of membership, new business partners and under-served areas and increase market penetration

     

    Salary Range:

    The salary range starts at $92,273.88 annually; however, actual placement within the range will be determined individually based on your experience relative to organizational needs and internal salary equity.

     

    Education/Experience:

    You must have a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, public relations, advertising, or a related field. Four years of relatable experience in areas such as community engagement, contract negotiations, event planning, business to business sales and/or banking processes required. Experience with non-profits and/or financial institutions is preferred.

    Applicable work experience and/or military experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two years of experience for on year of education.

    • Must have superior sales skills and be self-motivated and able to work independently
    • Must have the ability to motivate, influence and/or train others
    • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the strong ability to foster relationships
    • Must have excellent communication skills, including written, verbal, and public speaking
    • Ability to effectively interact with all levels of management, employees, and members
    • Ability to use the Internet as a research and business development tool
    • Knowledge of product lines, corporate goals, and industry conditions. Ability to use contact management software
    • Ability to work flexible work schedule requiring availability to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends. Availability for travel to non-local events, as well as meetings and training held at other locations
