    The anticipated salary range for this role is between $114,000.00and $189,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire.     Role Description

    SMBC Capital Markets Inc continues to grow its Global Markets Group in the Americas. The Front Office Business Analyst / Technology Project Management Team is focusing on modernizing our technology, focus on our data driven approach, growth and plan for the future to align with the Global Markets Group strategy. As a result of this expansion, we are seeking a Front Office Business Analyst / Project Manager to focus on building out our Front to Back Trade Support across bilateral and cleared Interest Rate Derivatives products

    Role Objectives: Delivery
    • Business Analysis for strategic projects and enhancements across Linear, Non Linear, and XVA Desks
    • Facilitate daily/weekly Developer scrums, sprint planning sessions, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Support agile activities, including user story creation, acceptance criteria definition, product backlog grooming, and identifying key dependencies and risks
    • Lead new projects from inception through go live, managing the project lifecycle across authoring Project Initiation Documents/Business Requirements Documents, Status Reports, leading Front to Back UAT across Users/Developers
    • Coordinate with Department stakeholders to track milestones, deliverables, and dependencies.
    • Collaborate with Agile Delivery Leads on the creation of the solution roadmap and providing timely status of deliverables related to roadmap execution.
    • Document QA test plans and execute test cases. Liaise with business users to create test plans, manage testing, and track defects, enhancements, and questions.
    • Write user documentation and conduct training sessions on new functionality as needed.
    • Assist with production implementation & coordinate user validationacross impacted Control Functions
    • Participate in general BA work including production support and BAU enhancements of in-house business applications.

    Qualifications and Skills
    • Strong work ethic with focus on meeting deadlines, objectives, and ability to learn new products and systems in a timely manner
    • 8 years of experience in bank capital markets as a Project Manager / Business Analyst with experience relating to Front, Middle Office and/or Back Office system implementations or equivalent operational experience.
    • Strong OTC Products experience across Rates Linear and Non-Linear Products, Risk Analysis, Market Operations
    • Prior Business Analyst experience in Capital Markets or Fixed IncomeProducts, ability to demonstrate projects successfully launched and benefits
    • Front to Back Trade support experience across booking new trades, trade affirmation, clearing, lifecycle events (Allocations, Novation's, Backloading)
    • Working knowledge trade lifecycle F2B from Trade Execution(SEF / Off SEF) through affirmation, risk capture down to settlement of cash flow, variation margin initial margin
    • SIMM IM vs Cleared IM, Risk Weighted Assets, MPOR, Delta, Present Values etc.. a plus
    • Client Onboarding Lifecycle Management a plus, understanding the difference of ISDA Credit support Annex Reg IM, VM, CDEA's and the impact to trade lifecycle management
    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and confidently with users, team members.
    • Strong analytical, strategic thinking and problem solving skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.
    • Strong skills working with MS Excel, MS Project, MS Word, MS Power Point & SharePoint.
    • Bachelor's degree. Finance, Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
