Business Data Analyst jobs in Binghamton, NY

We are seeking a Consumer Goods Data Analyst to create and curate analytical content that guides business
users in how to best leverage the Salient platform to address common business needs in consumer goods
organizations. This role is also responsible for creating drill-down investigative starting-points, best practice
analysis templates suited for the client’s business, and conducting analytical studies for clients who have
invested in our platform to help them achieve desired business outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, improve, and implement business-user-facing analytical content and Consumer Goods

• Create detailed documentation cataloging business scenarios & capabilities for demonstration.
• Define step-by-step methods to identify opportunities for improving profitability, increasing

savings or efficiencies, and recommend next steps to remedy or further improve those areas.

• Conduct analytical studies for clients such as Category Analysis studies.
• Study client data to identify opportunities for improvement and communicate those opportunities

with fact-based explanations using the Salient technology platform.

• Support other client delivery services relevant to client services agreements and initiatives.

Qualifications:

• B.S. preferred in Information Systems, Finance or Economics, Business Administration, or

• 1 – 3 years of professional experience focused on data analysis and visualization is strongly

Required Skills or Knowledge:

• Experience in dashboards, data analysis and visualization.
• Experience with HTML and CSS (Javascript experience is a plus).
• Experience with database technologies is preferable.
• Must be strong in problem solving and scientific/mathematical thinking skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal procedures and instructions.
• Ability to create organized and professional material.
• Ability to perform in an environment with multiple projects and priorities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and Power Point.
• Willingness to experiment and learn new tools and technologies.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with others both verbally and in writing.
