Job summary

At the forefront of their responsibilities, the Business Development Representative is tasked with driving entry-level sales through product sampling, with the overarching goal of growing the existing customer base, while also ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering customer retention.

Duties and essential job functions

• Accompany Route Service Representatives on routes to conduct and perform daily (20-25) pre-scheduled customer visits per week.
• Responsible for distributing sample products to CITY’s existing customers.
• Responsible for conducting follow-ups on provided samples.
• Responsible for the tracking of samples through company provided electronics. 
• Have a thorough knowledge of CITY’s products and services and how they are used.

• Provide prompt, effective solutions to customer needs.   

• Ensure customer satisfaction
• Maximize account profitability

• Represent the company in a positive manner and dress and act professionally at all times  

• Must maintain a neat, professional appearance and this position requires regular and reliable attendance
• Positive communication with customers, potential customers and co-workers
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds on a frequent basis

Minimum requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent.

A strong interest in sales, a willingness to learn, and a proactive attitude.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with customers.

Good negotiation skills to close deals and handle objections.

Ability to work well in a team as well as independently.

Basic computer skills, including familiarity with email.
