    Position Summary

     

    The Director of Business & Community Operations develops and directs economic development initiatives for the Business & Community Division (BCD). The position develops, champions, and helps launch processes and operations for business, community, and industry development programs. The position provides non-transactional oversight and leadership on initiatives to design and implement BCD programs and larger scale non-program items. The Director, in some cases, oversees program development and implementation on an ongoing basis.

    Responsibilities

     

    The Director will spend the majority of their time in these activities:

    • Advise and manage the development of BCD led economic development initiatives and program policies, process, and operational flow.
    • Direct the development and revisions of operations and processes for WEDC’s program offerings and advise BCD leadership on initiatives to improve these economic development practices. 
    • Manages outreach to BCD partners and stakeholders to solicit input on existing and potential programs and policies.
    • Be an effective team member by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and positions.
    • Other duties as assigned.
