Job Description
The IT Business Analyst performs a complete range of assignments supporting the business and technical needs within the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Protection area. The position performs a range of items including, but not limited to, business needs analysis, requirements elicitation, solution evaluation, solution impact analysis, as-is and future state process mapping, gap analysis, work definition and estimation, and project lifecycle support.
Job Duties
·Develops and maintains working knowledge of the Work Area business needs, priorities, supporting IT systems, and data management so their role as the liaison with partners can provide analysis considering the needs of the Work Area, as well as to provide guidance related to competing priorities and cross-agency impacts.
·Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of IT and Security.
·Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
·Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision.
·A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.
·Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats.
·Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
·Create informative, actionable and repeatable technical and business reporting that highlights relevant trends and opportunities for improvement.
·Make recommendations and design modifications.
·Construct workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications.
·Develop and manage documentation.
·Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements, establishing project budget. Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions.
·Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs within DTMB-CIP.
Requirements
3 years:
·Recent professional Business Analyst experience.
·Experience developing and managing documentation including workflow charts, system capabilities, specifications, etc.
·Experience with MS SharePoint, SharePoint Administration, Visio, Azure DevOps.
Desired Skills
·Experience with MS SharePoint and SharePoint Administration, Visio, Azure DevOps, and PowerBI

·Candidates must be currently local within a commutable distance, no more than 1-1.5 hours
·Position is a hybrid schedule with in office 2 days a week upon start (Monday/Tuesday)
