Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Job Summary:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for selling guided travel and identifying potential growth areas, opening new accounts and developing long-term relationships with guests and travel professionals.
Traveling throughout their territory, the Business Development Manager promotes the benefits of Collette travel experiences, actively supports partner marketing efforts and presents to potential travelers on a daily basis.
Responsible for soliciting new accounts, and maintaining relationships with existing accounts to meet and exceed revenue goals in support of the organization's strategic priorities.
