Business Development Director jobs in Vincennes, IN

Business Development Director directs the execution of the business development vision, strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Identifies and evaluates new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Director develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Oversees the development of proposals and contracts for new business opportunities and manages negotiations. Additionally, Business Development Director collaborates with marketing, sales, product development, and other stakeholders to support business development plans. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Development Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Business Development Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Director of Business Development (East Coast)

  • What You'll Be Doing:

    • Research and identify sales targets within assigned territory
    • Consistently network and outreach to accounts and sales targets
    • Use consultative sales approach to identify customers needs and potential barriers
    • Work with management to formulate short and long-term sales action plans
    • Maintain necessary sales reports and sales logs required by management
    • Maintain reports of all sales calls, referral contacts, accounts and competitor files
    • Conducts, participates and attends educational meetings and seminars
    • Travels frequently, often on short trips
    • Assist Governing Body with decisions of advertising, relationship building and networking to help True Rx obtain new clients
    • Acts as a liaison between the company and the HR personnel with our clients.
    • Assumes full responsibility for his/her own actions, professional skills, and attitude
    • Performs additional duties as assigned by management

    What You Bring:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent or four to ten years related experience and/or training, equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • 3 Years of outside B2B or medical sales experience
    • Proven track record of sales success
    • Proficienct use of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
    • Ability to travel as needed

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Previous PBM insurance sales experience
    • PBM industry knowledge and/ or relationships
