Business Development Manager manages the daily execution of the business development strategy, plans, and processes to drive sales, increase revenue, expand markets, and accomplish financial objectives. Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     The Business Development Manager will partner with the Chief Sales Officer to manage full-cycle client experience through sales and account management. The Business Development Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining a client pipeline to hit monthly sales goals.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop contact with potential customers in the industry by cold calling, emailing, or scheduling in-person meetings, and job boards.
    • Form new and continue existing relationships with companies in the customer database by visiting them in person, maintaining phone contact, and addressing issues or problems when they come up.
    • Build rapport with hiring managers within existing accounts to increase partnership opportunities.
    • Prepare and present presentations about Midway Staffing's solutions to potential clients, trade shows, or other large events to potential customers.
    • Create new methods or strategies to help the sales team reach monthly goals for product revenue to increase company profitability.
    • Maintain a strong understanding of light industrial staffing to answer specific customer questions.
    • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales and Marketing, Business Development, or related field and or equivalent experience.
    • 0-3 years of experience in a staffing environment with knowledge of account management and sales initiatives for recruitment best practices.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the industry's regulations and best practices.
    • Bi-lingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
    • Reliable transportation as required to travel 50% of the time
