Coaches teams in best practices and effective tactics for prospecting new markets, partners, channels, and customers. Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. Develops and uses contacts and relationships within the industry, business environment, and customer base to understand and respond to competition, pricing, and product demand changes. Additionally, Business Development Manager, Sr. makes suggestions for new product offerings or improvements to sales or marketing efforts. May administer or negotiate new business proposals and prepare contracts. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Business Development Manager, Sr. typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Development Manager, Sr. typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Power Generation Business Development Account Manager Duties:
    • Drive the development and promotion of the HGA Power Generation engineering business by proactively identifying and pursuing business opportunities in Power Generation including:
    • Combustion Turbine, Reciprocating Engine, and Renewable Energy projects including solar, green hydrogen, ammonia and energy storage projects.
    • Transmission, Distribution, Substation, Land Acquisition and Field Service projects.
    • Identify opportunities for additional product offerings, collaborate with management to assess and vet potential suppliers, and establish strong partnerships to enhance our product portfolio.
    • Achieve new and add-on business with existing clients by developing and enhancing key client relationships and serving as one of the primary company contacts.
    • Provide leadership in the development of client relationships, capture planning, strategy, pursuit and proposal activities.
    • Participate in project scoping and costing and proposal preparation, interviews, and negotiations to the extent required.

    Power Generation Business Development Account Manager Requirements:
    • 5 years’ experience in the Power Generation industry in Business Development, Engineering, or Project Management capacities required.
    • Strong client network within the Utilities Sector including Power Gen, Battery Storage, Solar and other Alternate Energy solutions.
    • Prior experience working with utilities or engineering consulting services firms required
    • Must be located in Ruston, LA or Baton Rouge, LA or The Woodlands, TX or Dallas, TX or Tulsa, OK.
