Being a Business Development Manager, Sr. establishes team targets and metrics to measure the achievement of objectives. The Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team at NYSCI is responsible for many aspects of operations and public programming at the New York Hall of Science. The MBD team includes Visitor Experience , data analytics, marketing, brand management, and communications. The team is responsible for revenue generating activities like group sales, public programming, and rentals of the organization’s historic space.
NYSCI is seeking an innovative Business Development Manager (BDM) with a passion for science, education, and community engagement. The BDM plays a key role in driving the Museum’s outreach efforts, the visitor experience and public programming, enhancing brand visibility, and contributing to the growth of business opportunities.
Reporting to the Director of Public Programming and Partnerships,he BDMis a front-facing role working across teams, and with vendors and partners to set up and host events, manage staff and steward partnerships. The BDM supports market research, revenue forecasting , contract administration, and the creation of marketing materials.

Commensurate with education, skills and experience; salary range is $60,000 - $70,000 per year.
Schedule will vary based on events and programs scheduled each week. Availability for nights and weekends will be necessary. Most of this work is in-person at the museum. Working from home on an agreed upon day is an option on slower event/programming weeks.
