Develops and executes marketing and sales strategies according to business objectives. Additionally, Business Development Officer (Select Customer) prepares and presents sales results to top management. Retains and expands existing customer relationships and acquires new customers. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Officer (Select Customer) contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.   • Job Summary:

    We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving membership growth through SEG (Select Employer Group) development, managing existing SEG relationships, and fostering partnerships with community organizations to represent the credit union's values and offerings.

    Key Responsibilities:

    SEG Development:

    • Develop strategic and marketing plans to expand the credit union's membership base through community outreach and SEG partnerships.
    • Identify and pursue opportunities to establish relationships with new SEGs in the community.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to customize financial solutions and offerings tailored to the needs of SEG members.
    • Seek out and recommend promotional touch point opportunities to promote growth among employers in the credit union's geography.
    • Conduct presentations and workshops to educate SEG employees about the benefits of credit union membership and financial services.
    • Develop social media strategies, as well as other business development tactics, as it relates to growing SEG relationships.

    Relationship Management:

    • Maintain and strengthen existing SEG relationships through regular communication and engagement activities.
    • Actively monitor SEG performance metrics and identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
    • Coordinate promotional events and campaigns.
    • Make use of CRM tools to document business development and onsite campaign activities and results.

    Community Engagement:

    • Cultivate partnerships with community organizations, including non-profits, schools, and local businesses, to promote the credit union's mission and values.
    • Represent the credit union at community events, networking functions, and industry conferences to raise awareness and visibility.
    • Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional materials and campaigns targeted at the community audience.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years of outside B2B2C sales experience.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or relationship management within the financial services industry.
    • Strong networking and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with a diverse range of stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical abilities.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both verbal and written.
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Knowledge of credit union operations, products, and services is a plus.
    • Willingness to travel within the local community as needed.

    Pay: $68,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
