Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     Description:

    This role offers the opportunity to grow and own your own business within our business! The business development position is a versatile position that works alongside many of our teams and touches many roles. The primary functions of the business development are working with trade partners and the sales team to provide a great experience throughout the kitchen renovation process. Communicate the Appliance World Partner Program at a high level and the benefits of partnering with AW.

    Role Responsibilities:

    • Culture - Provide an excellent customer experience to our clients both external and internal.

    • Personal Accountability and Performance - High performer with drive and personal accountability. Performs other related duties as assigned by management
    • Driving New Business - This includes new relationships with new builders, architects, contractors, property management companies, developers, etc. Translating into meaningful relationships and sales.
    • Surveys - Assist our builder team and our accounts with personalized site surveys to streamline the installation process. (See Survey Sheet)
    • Events and Organizations - Work with various NY trade relationship organizations to build relationships. Help coordinate partner-driven events and attendance both internal and external. (i.e. Socials, Dinners, Golf Outings, Organization, and Showroom Events)
    • Builder Team Meetings - Work closely with the builder division on a regular basis. Weekly meetings to plan for upcoming meets, potential areas of concentration and feedback/progress reports. Schedule changes for upcoming weeks should be reviewed in each meeting.
    • Reporting - Utilize a CRM system to research key metrics and provide reports with KPIs on a regular basis. Daily Visit Reports and Monthly Recaps.
    • Social Media - Work with Marketing Team and Outside Sales Team to further social media presence and accounts.
    • Ticket Writing - Be able to write sales orders for products, exchanges, accessories etc
    • Training and Product Knowledge - Work on gaining product knowledge and proper communication training throughout your career. There is a training program/department not only for the start of your journey but also available to all daily.
    • Specifications - Using SteelCod system preparing specifications where asked.
    • Work Order Confirmations - Using Custom AW System for Work Order Confirmations where asked. Follow up via DocuSign and with clients as well as the sales team.
    • Payments and Scheduling - Assisting inbound clients with collecting payments, scheduling deliveries and working with fulfillment (see below) to complete the sales process.
    • Updating Notes and Information in Tickets/Profiles - Communication is key. Update all correspondence and notes inside tickets where applicable.

    Schedule:

    • Monday - Local Suffolk Accounts

    • Tuesday - NYC Area
    • Wednesday - East End
    • Thursday - Nassau
    • Friday - In Office Local Suffolk Nassau Accounts
    • Surveys - As Needed Basis and will be scheduled in advance alongside the builder
    • Events - Schedule can be adjusted to accommodate events in store or for outside organization

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Salary Range $60K-$80K
    • Bonus Incentives - Attractive bonus to incentivize sales from new accounts
