Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. You must be comfortable making a high volume of calls per day, generating interest, qualifying prospects, and setting product demonstration appointments.
    Position Responsibilities:
    • Qualify prospects and set product demonstration appointments through proactive outbound prospecting.
    • Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the various proprietary integrated solutions available from Century.
    • Manage time effectively in order to meet daily phone time requirements.
    • Learn our CRM/data system.
    Qualifications:
    • BA/BS Degree in Business Administration or related field required.
    • Prior B2B lead generation sales experience is preferred not required.
    • Willing to learn and is coachable
    • An upbeat, positive and enthusiastic attitude
    • Is a great self-starter with a sense of urgency
    • Has excellent communication/interpersonal skills
    • Some sales experience is preferred but not required
