Business Development Supervisor identifies, evaluates, and pursues business opportunities with partners or potential customers. Coordinates and negotiates with other departments to implement marketing initiatives. Being a Business Development Supervisor is responsible for maintaining close relationship with existing clients. Acquires new customers, retains and expands existing customer relationships. Additionally, Business Development Supervisor develops sales of products and services by investigating and resolving customer problems, recommends modifications to the product/service line, and coordinates sales negotiations with appropriate personnel. Responsible for meeting sales volume and revenue goals and standards for activity, such as number of sales calls. Requires a bachelor's degree in business, finance or marketing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Business Development Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Business Development Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor.     We are looking for a Business Development Specialist with the following:

    • 3 years of experience in fluid power applications, particularly in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
    • Experience in industrial sales
    • Proven ability with a documented personal sales process
    • Proficiency in writing and deploying proposals and client presentations
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • Strong proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Mechanical, electrical, and programmable controllers experience is a plus
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to meet customer needs.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
    • Consultative Sales Skills Training
    • Positive and collaborative attitude with a professional work ethic
    • Desire to help teammates succeed and willingness to assist where needed


    Responsibilities for the Business Development Specialist:

    • Build and maintain meaningful business relationships with decision makers and necessary influencers
    • Actively and passionately drive sales growth while simultaneously enhancing profit margins, leveraging innovative strategies and solutions
    • Interact daily with customer prospects through various communication channels (i.e., email, phone, and in person)
    • Leverage existing and new relationships to successfully acquire new customers
    • Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales, Shop, C-Suite, and Engineering
    • Work closely with internal resources to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities
    • Consistently update and maintain sales opportunities in our CRM system
    • Create persuasive proposals and deliver impactful presentations to customers and prospective clients
    • Develop and submit a well-structured and approved monthly business plan
