Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. In this pivotal position, you will be the point person for staying abreast of relevant industry trends and new technologies, with a focus on advancing our digital workplace and communication strategies. Reporting to the Vice President of Intelligence and Analytics, Prudential Communications, this role will keep a pulse on industry trends and advancements in modern technologies to inform and enhance communication strategies and evaluate and endorse innovative ways to elevate our communication practices. This involves leading engagements with vendors, consulting on emerging technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation, and partnering with the Chief Data Office to gain insights and advancements that can be integrated into communication strategies. In this capacity, the Intelligence Director will spearhead the use of GenAI in communications, identifying and implementing impactful use cases and differentiating our communication efforts by maximizing it for precise execution and engagement. The incumbent will serve as a predictive analytics authority, leading the elevation of insights derived from data analytics for strategic communications planning. This individual will also elevate the flagship communications publication, the Prudential Daily Brief, integrating insights and positioning to enhance its impact. The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site. What you can expect: Stay up-to-date with relevant industry trends and emerging technologies to accelerate our digital workplace and communication strategies Evaluate and endorse innovative approaches to elevate our communication practices, ensuring they align with the latest industry advancements Lead engagements with vendors and explore ground breaking technologies to stay at the forefront of innovation Consult with emerging technology experts and collaborate with the Chief Data Office to gain insights and advancements that can be integrated into our communication strategies Spearhead the use of GenAI in communications, identifying and implementing impactful use cases Leverage analytics to improve communication work products continuously Elevate the flagship communications publication, the Prudential Daily Brief, by implementing strategies that enhance its impact and positioning What you’ll need: 7-10 years of professional experience, communications experience preferred; bachelor’s degree in a related field. Tenacious understanding of AI applications in the communication field, including both established and emerging approaches. Proven experience in communications strategy and innovation – specifically the application of custom machine learning, natural language processing (NLP), and natural language understanding (NLU) models. Perspective on the additional value offered of emerging technologies, specifically natural language generation (NLG) models – ideally with demonstrated success in early implementations. Expertise in predictive analytics and a track record of bringing to bear insights for strategic communication improvement. It’d be a plus if you had: Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Self-starter with a client-centric and solutions attitude, and ability to work in a matrixed environment. Excellent relationship management, client engagement, and persuasive influence skills. Robust technical translational skills – you're just as comfortable engaging with data scientists and analysts as you are engaging with generalist senior executives. Approachable executive presence; ability to build strong relationships at all levels. A leader and doer who knows when to delegate and when to roll up sleeves.
