Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity.     WHAT YOU WILL DO:
    • Build and lead a skilled, action-oriented Business Intelligence team, and define the future state of BI and Analytics for the organization
    • Provide leadership in the development of tools, methods and processes to utilize data to enable effective business decisions across the organization
    • Partner closely with senior management and key business stakeholders to maximize the value of the Business Intelligence platform.
    • Lead and support the development of organizational data strategies to achieve data governance and data quality best practices.
    • Oversee the development of BI applications and data models, manage and mentor the development of data modeling in the enterprise; design, develop, and document the data model and associated metrics.
    • Manage vendor relationships and partnerships for Business Intelligence platforms.
    HOW WILL YOU QUALIFY:
    • 8 years of Business Intelligence experience with focus on implementing BI and Analytics programs
    • Demonstrated management and leadership skills: coaching, developing and mentoring
    • Strong working knowledge of data warehousing, BI systems and processes, and ETL processes.
    • Strong understanding of how to define and support a data governance framework.
    • Multiple years of hands-on experience with ETL development tools, and ability to learn new technologies quickly
    • Multiple years of hands-on experience with Power BI
    • Experience utilizing project management tools (Jira, SmartSheets, etc.)
    • Experience managing outside vendors and partnerships
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management/Computer Information Systems, Analytics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
