Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     As the leader of the BI and Data Analytics team, you will lead the team in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the development, and ongoing support of all Business Intelligence platforms and related enterprise software applications.


    You'll provide technical and experience to the BI and software development teams, and will design and implement changes to existing reporting platforms while leading the implementation of new cloud based BI and reporting solutions.


    Responsibilities are varied and complex needing.


    Competent in own area of expertise.


    You may have a project lead role and manage lower level personnel.



    Requirements

    Experience:


    • 8 years progressive experience.
    • Broad and knowledge of the software development process and its technologies.
    • Background in programming, experienced in troubleshooting and contributing to large, dynamic codebases.
    • Knowledge and hands-on experience following computer languages and technologies: Python within an enterprise environment, Familiarity with HTML / Javascript / CSS and Ajax calls within JavaScript (black box backend).
    • Experience with database design, creation, and maintenance: Experience with MySQL - Understanding of best praGNU Linux OS and command line operations: Debian and openSUSE.
    • Git - medium to advanced experience: Familiarity with management and CI/CD through interfaces like GitLab, Jira.
    • API development (implementing and communicating for remote services).
    • AWS/ Google Cloud Platform/ Microsoft Azure – familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
    • Experience in Data Science, Machine Learning.
