Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Customer Service/Business Specialist

    Pay Range: $9.90 - $13.32 per hour 

    Part-time Non-Benefited 

    The City of Laramie is looking for an individual to perform a variety of duties in the front desk and business office operations at the Laramie Community Recreation Center.  Responsibilities of this position include greeting customers, answering public inquiries, taking admissions, handling money, assisting public with membership, facility and activity registration processes, promotion of recreation center services, member account maintenance, clerical and general office duties, data entry, completing and submitting daily transaction deposits and reports, stocking concession items, substituting as a Facility Attendant, and other duties as assigned. 

     

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Must have a pro-active attention to detail.
    • Work ethic with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must have excellent customer service skills.
    • Must be available to work early mornings (5a.m.) or late evenings (8p.m.), as well as weekends. 
    • Must be a self-motivated individual who is interested in gaining a broad understanding of Parks & Recreation activities and policies in order to assist the public.
    • Must perform repetitive tasks accurately and quickly.
    • Must be able to solve problems according to previously established parameters and guidelines.
    • Must be able to work effectively in a team atmosphere; ability to work well under general supervision; communicate well verbally; work well in a dynamic and often busy environment.
    • Must possess computer knowledge and skills.
    • First aid and CPR/AED certification are required (training will be provided to successful candidate.) 
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (A combination of the following experience and training, or the equivalent of, would be qualifying):

    • Working knowledge of office operations and previous experience in a recreation facility.
    • Working knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to recreational activities. 
    • Understanding and experience in working with the public and families. 
    • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, customers, and the general public; ability to create and maintain enthusiasm in the workplace and maintain a calm presence under pressure.
    • Working knowledge of computer programs and the ability to learn new systems.
    • Prior cash handling experience. 
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Availability for morning, evening and weekend shifts.

     

    Applicants who are offered an appointment are required to pass a comprehensive background investigation, drug screening test and driver license check.
