Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Responsibilities and Impact:
    • Work closely with functional heads, stakeholders, and developers to understand requirements and create data pipelines using ETL tools while maintaining data quality and accuracy.
    • Perform analysis of complex data sets to better understand trends, relationships between variables, and to formulate business intelligence insights.
    • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills to analyze business needs and effective communication and presentation skills (verbal & written) to be able to articulate the problems and recommended solution to make design decisions with conviction.
    • Work in an Agile team and able to articulate problem statements & solutions.
    • Identify and implement opportunities in the solution that will drive improvements in performance, scalability, reliability, and re-usability. Continue to drive down technical debt and cost of operations/support by keeping pace with latest cutting-edge technologies and newer development methods & strategies.
    • Ensure "operational excellence" capabilities (usability, availability, resilience, security, etc.) at-all-times.
    Compensation/Benefits Information:

    S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $72,000 to $120,000. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual's geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses, and certifications.

    In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

    What We're Looking For:

    Basic Required Qualifications:
    This position performs a wide range of duties including but not limited to the following:
    • Overall, 5-8 years of work experience in designing, developing, and implementing Data Warehouse solutions.
    • 3-5 years of work experience in ETL tools like Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (Data & Application Integration), Oracle Data Integrator
    • 3-5 years of collective work experience in multiple databases like AWS Redshift, Oracle 12c, and Oracle Autonomous Data Warehouse.
    • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in PL/SQL. Write/Manage complex SQL queries and perform end-to-end data validation.
    • Must have complete understanding of Data warehouse life cycle right from data source to ETL transformations to multidimensional models like data marts, star schema and Reporting.
    • A bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or business or finance or accounting.
    Additional Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience on Oracle ERP Finance application modules: Account Payables (AP) or Account Receivables (AR) or General Ledger (GL) or Fixed Assets (FA) or Cash Management (CM)
    • Knowledge in Salesforce CRM and CPQ systems will be an added advantage.
    • Experience with REST API, SOAP messaging and integrations with other enterprise applications / SaaS applications using IICS / Oracle PaaS
    • Good to have knowledge of data analytical tools like Alteryx.
    • Basic knowledge and usage of visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI etc.
    • Working experience in estimating effort required to develop code.
    • Knowledge on Agile project implementation methods or usage of Microsoft Azure (VSTS) tool will be an added advantage.
