The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst provides leadership for the design and development of reporting, analytics, and visualization tools using industry and agency best practices. This position performs complex data analysis and reporting for operational and administrative purposes including process and performance improvement. The individual in this role will conduct advanced modeling and analytics.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Scope and implement tools and resources to advance analytics and reporting capabilities.
· Implement best practices standards in business intelligence to deliver flexible solutions to address diverse needs across the agency.
· Support the development and optimization of an end to end data strategy for effective collection, analysis, interpretation, and dissemination of data, information, and findings.
· Develop dashboards and other visualization tools in partnership with key data owners and stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.
· Maintain a schedule of routine reporting and exception reporting tasks to support requirements for external regulatory and funding organizations, as well as internal teams such as quality and risk management, research and evaluation, and evidence-based and clinical practices.
· Conduct advanced statistical and analytical analyses to support agency and program needs, as well as research and evaluation efforts.
· Manage and manipulate large datasets and use critical reasoning skills to examine performance trends, needs, and areas for improvement; provide logical and relevant interpretations and insights within the context of the agency and service delivery environment.
· Manage agency-wide survey, analysis, and reporting projects from conceptualization to completion, with ability to define and report on key project milestones.
· Identify process improvement opportunities and lead improvement projects and teams.

REQUIREMENTS
· Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics or similar field
· Minimum of 6 years of experience in data analysis or statistics required.
· Unrestricted, valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record and minimum insurance coverage that meets agency standards.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
In addition to the Hillside Professional Competencies the following are requirements of this role:
· Experience working with a variety of information systems and data files, using and creating file layouts, querying and extracting information from databases and managing large data sets.
· Experience with statistical analysis, mathematical modeling techniques, the application of advanced analytical software (e.g., SPSS) in manipulation and analysis of data.
· Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and techniques.
· Experience with database, statistical analysis or visualization software.
· Knowledge and experience in outcome measurement, program evaluation, and research methodology.
· Experience with influencing agency change related to the use of data and helping all levels of the agency adapt to new systems and processes related to information flow and use.

$63,746 Minimum Pay Rate, $106,244 Maximum Pay Rate, based on experience.
