Business Intelligence Director directs a business intelligence group centered on providing insight and aiding in business decision-making. Oversees the planning of projects to produce reports and perform meaningful quantitative or qualitative analyses addressing impactful business issues or questions. Being a Business Intelligence Director collaborates with other departments to identify and generate potential business intelligence initiatives, and ensures that business intelligence analysts have the tools, training, and understanding of the field to produce effective dashboards, reports, and metrics. Makes resource allocation and staffing decisions. Additionally, Business Intelligence Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Business Intelligence Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Business Intelligence Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     dentifies, proposes, initiates, and leads significant improvements to programs across multiple business areas.  Identifies current and emerging business needs and evaluates alternative IT solutions using standard information systems methodologies and best practices.   Leads the organization’s development team for analytics/business intelligence in PowerBI. 

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field.  An advanced degree is preferred.  Eight years of experience.  Education may be substituted for 2 years of this requirement. Experience managing software developers and the system development lifecycle.  Advanced knowledge in the following applications: Microsoft SQL SQL Server Analysis Services PowerBI and tabular models Data warehousing Programming languages in the .NET framework. Additional experience: Three years of experience architecting, implementing, and integrating locally-hosted as well as cloud-based solutions.  Three years of experience in implementing cloud-based solutions. Extensive experience in using XML based standard such as XML, XSLT, XSD, XPath. Microsoft DAX
